Once they were wed, real estate developer Bill Caleo and interior decorator Megan Noetzel began searching for a primary residence in New York City that could accommodate their blended family with a total of four children from previous marriages. They wound up purchasing two unfinished units on the 26th floor of the then-new Quay Tower high-rise in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood in 2020, and then set out to adapt the space to suit their specific needs.

11/20/2025  Eliot Spitzer proposes taller Fifth Avenue condo tower - 6 sqft
Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is seeking to increase the height of his proposed Upper East Side condo project, which would replace a 1970s-era rental building with 26 luxury residences. During a Tuesday Landmarks Preservation Commission public hearing, Spitzer proposed using City of Yes zoning reforms to raise his planned development at 985 Fifth Avenue from 19 to 20 stories, replacing a 25-story rental building approved for demolition in 2023. Other proposed changes include a textured limestone facade, a rear yard extension, and the removal of an adjacent public plaza.

11/7/2025  NYC landlord sues developer of nearby condo for $2.8M due to damages that displaced tenants for 2.5 years - NY Post
Don’t call it a block party. Roughly three years before a lavish penthouse at 16 Fifth Ave. recently listed for a breathtaking $45 million, construction kicked off at the luxury condominium where it’s housed. During the time in between, the high-end development deeply rankled a group of locals who live down the block. Not only were they displaced for more than two years due to damages to their own building from the nearby work, but the condo’s developer paid only to put them up briefly in a hotel after they were forced to flee.

10/6/2025  Manhattan’s luxury housing market is booming and bucking national trends — but for how long? - New York Post

Sales of the borough’s priciest homes surged in the third quarter, even as nationwide numbers slid to their weakest summer in more than a decade. Yet a slowdown in the month of September — and the looming uncertainty of New York’s mayoral race — suggests the city’s luxury surge may not be on unshakable ground.
