Last month, 15 independent building service providers announced the formation of Manhattan Vendors Group (MVG), a new professional consortium aimed at fostering collaboration among vendors working with property managers, building owners, and co-op and condo boards throughout the five boroughs. Member companies represent a variety of essential building services, including construction, compliance, mechanical systems, building operations, technology, and energy solutions.
“We recognized the need for a peer group focused on the specific demands of serving NYC’s built environment,” said one founding member. “By sharing insights and maintaining high standards, we aim to support one another while ultimately providing better outcomes for the customers we all serve.”
The group meets monthly, with gatherings featuring presentations, guest speakers, and open forums with property professionals including resident managers, superintendents, building owners and managing agents. In addition to regular programming, MVG intends to support local building staff organizations through event sponsorship and participation.
MVG is not affiliated with any one trade or association, but is open to companies that are referred by members and meet established criteria for experience, professionalism, and conduct.
