A townhouse that belonged to Law & Order: SVU actress Mariska Hargitay was among some of the notable New York City luxury residential properties that signed into contract last week amid an ongoing trend of lackluster sales for that particular market

According to the most recent luxury market report from Olshan for the week of February 4-10, Hargitay's townhouse on 45 West 84th Street entered into contract for $9,750,000. The six-story, 6,925-square-foot property comes with five bedrooms; six bathrooms; three powder rooms; a rear dining room overlooking a garden; and a roof penthouse. The price was reduced by $1 million when it hit the market last October, said Olshan.

The townhouse was one of 16 homes that signed into contracts last week, continuing a trend of slow sales for residential properties worth $4 million and above from the last couple of months, according to Olshan. Of those 16, five of them were co-ops and nine of them were condos.

The biggest contract for that week was for a co-op at 941 Park Avenue. Consisting of five bedrooms and five bathrooms, the property signed at $12,500,000. According to the listing, its features include a spacious living room, a chef's kitchen, a corner master bedroom, and oak herringbone floors. Among the building's amenities are a fitness room, bike room, and play room.

A co-op on the Upper East Side came in second with a contract that signed for $11,500,000. Located on the ninth floor at 117 East 72nd Street, the six-bedroom/six-bathroom apartment has a wood-paneled library, wood-burning fireplaces, a master bedroom suite, and plenty of closet space. The building dates back to 1928.

Meanwhile, a condo at 160 Central Park South  (a.k.a., Essex House) earned the third spot in Olshan's survey, entering into contract at the price of $10,250,000. The unit, which has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, boasts a 30-foot-living room, a huge library and den, and expansive views. The apartment's listing touts Essex House's luxury amenities of concierge service, a fitness room and spa, and 24-hour in-room dining.

Olshan added that it was the first time two co-ops were the top contracts since March 2017.
