On October 18, workers at 108 Leonard Street, a 166-unit luxury condo in the Tribeca section of Manhattan, went on strike to protest a number of alleged unfair labor practices at the condominium developed by Elad Group. According to an announcement from service workers union 32BJ SEIU, which brought the charges against 108 Leonard, the building is now under investigation by the National Labor Relation Board (NLRB) “for retaliation against workers, changed work rules and failing to bargain in good faith after workers won representation by 32BJ SEIU over one year ago.”
The building’s 15 essential workers began their strike at 7AM on Tuesday.
