The Cooperator's 25th Annual Co-op & Condo Expo Free Advice, Information and Seminars for Boards

The Cooperator's 25th Annual Co-op & Condo Expo

It’s that time of year again—trees are budding, flowers are blooming, and on Tuesday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to  5 p.m. The Cooperator’s Co-op & Condo Expo will set up shop at the Hilton New York at 53rd Street and Avenue of  the Americas. As Cooperator readers already know, the Expo is the must-attend  event for anyone and everyone involved in the tri-state area's co-op and condo  industry, including property managers, board members, real estate brokers,  shareholders and unit owners.

Now celebrating its 25th year of serving the area’s co-ops and condos, the Expo will showcase nearly 300 exhibitors from  throughout the region, along with a multitude of free advice booths and a  day-long slate of educational seminars.

 Timely & Informative Seminars

Good information and clear communication are crucial for anyone involved with  the administration of a building or homeowners association—particularly these days, when so many of us are feeling the pinch of the ongoing  economic slump. The Cooperator's Co-op & Condo Expo makes finding that information and developing communication  strategies a little easier by offering attendees the opportunity to do both, in  one day and under one roof, with a full slate of unique educational  programming.

This year, seminars will run throughout the day and cover an array of topics  including energy efficiency, emergent technologies, legal issues, building  management, and finance. Seminar presenters will include energy experts from  The Daylight Savings Company and NYSERDA, representatives from Verizon Enhanced  Communications, an attorney/management team from Stark & Stark & A. Michael Tyler Realty Corp., mortgage lender Meridian Capital Group, and  financial advisors from Wilkin & Guttenplan.

Expo seminars nearly always attract standing-room-only crowds, so make sure to  arrive early.

 Free Advice Booths & More

Booths and seminars may be the big draws to the Expo, but that's just part of  the bigger picture. In addition to networking and educational opportunities, be  sure to drop by one—or more than one—of the show's free advice booths. If you have questions about your building or  association’s finances, policies, or day-to-day management, you can sit down and get  one-on-one answers from leading legal, management, maintenance and financial  professionals.

In between visiting booths, attending seminars, and getting free expert advice,  you can relax and refuel at the Expo food court, check your email at the free  cyber cafe, or watch a product demo. And of course, no trade show would be  complete without giveaways and raffles. Throughout the day, random drawings  will be held for a host of valuable door prizes.

 $3,500 Reserve Fund Giveaway

And don’t forget about our popular Reserve Fund prize giveaway. One attendee at the show  will win a $3,500 contribution to their building association's reserve fund,  courtesy of The Cooperator and Yale Robbins, Inc. The winner will be drawn at  random after registration has closed, and a check for the winnings will be made  payable to the winner’s building, care of their management company. Only board members qualify to  enter the reserve fund drawing, and attendance at the Expo is required for  eligibility. For complete details on how to enter the reserve fund drawing,  visit the Expo website, www.coopexpo.com.

And be sure to visit us at the Hilton New York on April 17th! For  up-to-the-minute information on who is exhibiting at the show, to sign up as an  exhibitor, or to register for this one-of-a-kind event, go to www.coopexpo.com.  We look forward to seeing you there!
