On November 2, 2017, thousands of board members, managers, building owners and co-op, condo and HOA residents flocked to the Jacob K. Javits Center for the inaugural Fall edition of The Cooperator Expo New York. The Cooperator’s Spring show has been going strong at the New York Hilton in Midtown for nearly 30 years, and the overwhelmingly positive response to this second opportunity to network, learn, and connect with colleagues and peers demonstrated how committed co-op/condo leaders and managers in the tri-state area are to improving and enhancing service to their building and association communities.
Like its springtime counterpart, the Fall Expo provided an invaluable opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest in building services from nearly 300 exhibitors; attend in-depth seminars and well-curated expert panels; and get free advice from legal and management pros.
Education Is Everything
Exhibitor booths, information, and demos are the heart of both the Spring and Fall Expos, but both shows feature a full slate of in-depth educational seminars that provide attendees the opportunity to take master classes on a broad array of timely topics. This inaugural Fall show included seminars on everything from dealing with concerns raised by the homesharing/Airbnb trend; to how and when to schedule a facade inspection to keep your building on the right side of Local Law 11/FISP regulations. Other seminars dug into cogeneration for energy conservation and savings, installing solar arrays on rooftops, and even dealing with difficult, disruptive residents.
...and So Much More!
In addition to all that, of course the Fall Expo included the amenities and swag that have made its Spring sibling so popular, including a well-appointed food court, free legal advice booths, product demos, and valuable giveaways from exhibitors throughout the day.
If you missed the Javits show, never fear!
