The Cooperator’s Expo, the largest Co-op & Condo Expo in the New York metropolitan area, brought together over 300 exhibitors and more than 4,000 attendees. The Expo kept three floors of the New York Hilton Midtown buzzing with board members, managers, and building owners hunting for the best insights, technologies and products and services for their community. The Expo has been a fixture on the business calendar of everyone who's anyone in the co-op and condo community since 1991.
Managing a building involves so many moving pieces that contracts and projects can take place without ever meeting the folks you’re working with. Many attendees took advantage of the expo to meet the people that make their community run smoothly face to face.
“Visiting with vendors we recently hired; seeking out vendors who may be of service to our co-op in the near future; and seeing others who we wanted to express concerns about the service they are currently rendering,” was the most helpful.
—Phyllis Hulen, a shareholder in Brooklyn.
“It was very interesting to see, meet and talk to all the various vendors and learn about what's new in the ‘Cooperator World.’”
—Anita Black, apartment building owner
“Many thanks for putting together the smash event at the Hilton hotel. It was beyond enjoyable and educational. With all the seminars, and exhibits, we barely scratched the surface in terms of collecing materials from all the participants,”
—Larry Wolfson, board member
“I'm a new board member and it was great to be able to talk to experts about how basic pieces of equipment work. I had a conversation where the exhibitor described all the pieces of the elevator, another learning about dual burners for heating.”
—Rebecca Martin, Queens board member
“I was able to find products that I didn’t know existed. I met people who I’ve spoken with on the phone, but never had the chance to meet in person. I believe I’ve found a vendor that may be able to save one of my co-ops a lot of money,”
—Michael Finer, property manager from FirstService Residential
