Mackoul Engaged by 4 West 16th St. as
Insurance Broker
Mackoul Risk Solutions announces via
press release that it has recently been chosen
as the insurance broker for the 4 West 16th
Street building. Located in the Flatiron neigh-
borhood in Manhattan, the boutique pre-war
building features amenities such as a smart
security system with virtual access capabilities,
private storage, and a laundry facility. Mack-
oul Risk Solutions anticipates a good working
relationship with the property management
fi rm, MD Squared Property Group, LLC.
Mackoul Risk Solutions is an insurance
agency in Manhattan, New Jersey, and Long
Island that specializes in co-op and condo-
minium insurance.
DEVELOPMENT
Rockefeller Group Partners with Strand
Books at Rose Hill Condo
Two New York icons will be partnering at
new luxury condominium Rose Hill. Devel-
oper Rockefeller Group announces via a press
release that the 45-story tower—currently
fi nishing construction at 30 East 29th Street—
will include a residents’ library, lounges, and
other common areas with books and other
items curated and stocked by Strand Books.
Known for its expansive collection of new,
used, and rare books spanning many genres
and topics, as well as a wide array of liter-
ary gift s, Strand Books will fi ll the shelves of
Rose Hill with hundreds of titles in several of
its amenity spaces, including a private library
on the lobby level, a hotel-like lounge dubbed
“Th e Blue Room,” and a secondary library
within a private residents’ club on the 37th
fl oor.
“Strand Books is one of New York’s most
treasured and historical literary institutions,”
says Meg Brod, Rockefeller Group’s Senior
Vice President and head of Development in
the Northeast U.S., “and we’re proud to sup-
port our partner and the independent busi-
nesses that make up our great city.”
Says James Odum, Communications Di-
rector at Strand Book Store, “Th e Strand is
honored to be a featured partner for Rose Hill
and we are delighted that our custom librar-
ies, curated by Th e Strand’s Books By the Foot
team, will help breathe literary life into this
incredible and one-of-a-kind project...We are
excited to be collaborating with such a promi-
nent developer, who was founded in New
York around the same time we were nearly a
century ago.”
According to its press release, Rockefeller
Group has also partnered with several other
local businesses at Rose Hill. Th e develop-
ment’s health and wellness club off ers a fully
equipped fi tness center curated by strength
and conditioning gym FHITTING ROOM,
as well as a professional-grade squash court
programmed by SquashRX. Rose Hill will
also feature a bike room with an in-house bike
repair workshop for resident use programmed
by Strictly Cycling Collective.
“Rose Hill has been purposefully designed
with an authentic New York attitude in mind,
and we knew that the building and our part-
nerships needed to refl ect and celebrate the
neighborhood’s urban fabric. It brings us im-
mense joy to collaborate with such a notable
and distinguished retailer while simultaneous-
ly providing an amazing compilation of books
for our residents to enjoy,” adds Brod.
Designed inside and out by acclaimed
global architecture fi rm CetraRuddy, Rose
Hill anticipates welcoming its fi rst residents
soon. CORE is the exclusive sales and market-
ing fi rm for the building, where remaining in-
ventory is priced from $1.385 million.
