Appointments &   Transitions  Romer Debbas Promotes Scott Krinsky   to Partner  A press release from New York City   law firm Romer Debbas, LLP, announces   the promotion of Scott Krinsky, manager   of the firm’s Residential Real Estate Fi-  nance Department, to partner. According   to the release, Krinsky serves as counsel   to over 30 lending institutions and private   banks. It is his fifth year with the firm.   Krinsky represents institutional lend-  ers in connection with loans pertaining to   the purchase and refinance of residential   properties, as well as buyers and sellers   in the purchase and sale of condomini-  ums, co-ops, and multifamily buildings   throughout New York, says the release.   The release also notes that Krinsky has   been included in the Rising Stars section   of Super Lawyers—a coveted designation   awarded to the top 2.5% of lawyers under   the age of 40 in their practice area—for   the last three years.   Romer Debbas, LLP founders and   managing partners Michael J. Romer and   Pierre E. Debbas are also principals of   New York Real Estate Center, which of-  fers virtual continuing education courses   for  real  estate  professionals,  per  the  re-  lease.  CAI  Announces  2021  President  and   Board of Trustees  In a recent press release, the Com-  munity Associations Institute (CAI) an-  nounces the appointment of its new pres-  ident and board of trustees for 2021.   Community management professional   James H. Dodson IV, CMCA, AMS, LSM,   PCAM, is the 2021 CAI president. He is   the executive director of Ewa by Gentry   Community Association in  Ewa  Beach,   Hawaii.  According to CAI’s release, Dodson   has 40 years of management experience,   including 22 years as the CEO of his   own community association manage-  ment company. He is a member of the   CAI Hawaii Chapter based in Honolulu   and has earned his Certified Manager of   Community Associations (CMCA®) cre-  dential from the Community Associa-  tion Managers International Certification   Board (CAMICB) as well as CAI’s Profes-  sional Community Association Manager   (PCAM) and Large-Scale Manager (LSM)   designations.   Dodson considers hospitality services,   teamwork, technology, and quality of life   essential to the success of community as-  sociations today, says the release. As CAI   president, he  aims  to  raise  awareness  of   CAI’s benefits to volunteer board mem-  bers and community association profes-  sionals. “CAI will continue to help com-  munity associations succeed by staying   true to our mission, core values, and edu-  cation,” he says. “I also believe that CAI   can be a responsive and sustainable hous-  ing leader. We can do that by creating and   enhancing an industry that supports geo-  graphic and cultural diversity, advocacy,   and technology.”  The 2021 president-elect is Jessica   Towles, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, vice presi-  dent  of suburban property management   with FirstService Residential Illinois, ac-  cording to the release.
